In answer to the question How can we/should we work until all attain to “the unity of the faith.......to mature manhood, to the measure of the fulness of Christ,” the following were identified: Recognize we are leaders. Behave like leaders. Identify our gifts. Trust God that the gifts are here in this parish. Know Christ. Be open to new gifts. Equip others (the saints for the work); Involve others in what I do. Do it with humility and humor. Will discuss again next month. The discussion was followed by a time of prayer for those at the meeting who were experiencing physical pain. Rector: rd th Andee Marks will be here on the 23 and 24 . She will meet with Vestry and other leaders on the 23rd ; it may be a good idea to have food here so the session can begin early. Vestry Retreat: Instead of a separate retreat, Vestry members will participate in the rdth th sessions with Andee Marks on the 23 and 24 . Whether or not to have food on 24 was not decided. Spree: Pastor Allen said we have not heard specifically that we will have a space. Treasurer: Russ presented the report. 1. Mike Figura presented a Proposal to provide funding for members of our parish who are candidates for ordination in AMiA; the application process costs each one about $1400. This does not include the cost of the education they will pay for individually. The Committee recommended asking for a separate pass thru collection to raise money for this purpose. The motion was approved. The collection will be done in late April. The money will be put in a separate Ministry Fund. 2. Pastor Allen asked the Vestry to consider participating in a Compassion International Pilot Project in Rwanda to link sister churches. He also recommends encouraging members to sponsor children thru Compassion International. The cost is $32 per month. This need will be publicized after the request for funds for ministry candidates. Committee Reports Gary: Presented a proposal for an electric sign for the front of the church office. It will cost about $1000 from the Parish Growth Fund. The design was considered and approved. Allen has not yet met with all members of the Vestry to establish who will be responsible for each area. Chris will work with individual members to get goals established. New Business Maundy Thursday and Good Friday Offerings: Services will be at Trinity at 7 PM. There will be baskets for donations. Our half will be put in the Ministry Fund.
